The 2018 La Boisselee has notes of smoked meats, bay leaf, iron, leather, floral scents, dark berry, and subtle spice.  Le Boisselee is a blend from various "lieu-dits" or vineyards in the Côte Rôtie region. The soils are iron rich and along with the moderate to warm climate lends the name Côte Rôtie or roasted slope.  Jay and I tasted this wine not too long ago and immediately brought it into the shop. You can enjoy it now or cellar it and enjoy it over the next decade. Really one of the most beautiful Côte Rôtie wines I've ever tasted. Very small amount imported into the country, so if you want to experience this gorgeous wine, I suggest you snap it up fast as we only have six bottles and Jay is taking one and so am I. We might be able to get more but it's no guarantee there will be more available!
