You Can Take It To The Bank - Bordeaux Red Wines $25 (Thursday & Friday)

Have you ever wanted to learn a little bit more about wines from Bordeaux without some wine snob talking down to you? This week we will taste and learn about the Bordeaux wine region. We’ll learn the difference between right bank and left bank. We’ll learn about the varietals used in Bordeaux, and we’ll learn to have fun while learning! Get ready to learn, get ready to ask questions, get ready to have fun, and most of all, get ready to taste some outstanding wines!
Chateau Moulin Pey-Labrie, Canon Fronsac 2010
Now this is a "natural" wine. Organic, vegan, native fermentation, and minimal intervention. Best of all, the wine tastes exceptional. Earthy notes, gorgeous red fruit, and seamless tannins leading to a focused finish. Mostly Merlot with some Malbec.

Chateau Aney, Haut-Medoc 2015
This is a blend of 65% Cab Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 7% Cab Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. Notes of black fruit, berry, cigar box, and earth. The tannins are very well intregrated leading to a smooth, lingering finish.

Chateau Haut Lariveau, Fronsac 2016
Another organic, vegan, native fermentation, minimal intervention, and low production wine from Bordeaux. This is 100% Merlot that is fruity and well-balanced. Elegant and fresh with the right amount of acidity. Notes of black fruit, cacao, and redcurrant. Supple finish.

Chateau Belgrave, Haut-Medoc 2014
"From the flagship Médoc estate of Bordeaux negociant Dourthe, this wine is impressive, ripe and ready to age well. The wood aging still shows slightly but that is already compensated for by the ripe black-currant fruits from the 66% Cabernet Sauvignon and the generous texture. Drink this wine from 2023." 92 Points Wine Enthusiast
