More Thanksgiving Wines To Gobble Up! $20 (Thursday & Friday)

If there’s any advice I would give to you about selecting wines this Thanksgiving, it would be to go to a wine shop and not to a grocery store to select your wines. Yes, I would love for you all to come to The Bottle Shop to purchase your wines, but if you can’t make it to The Bottle Shop, then go to any wine shop that is locally owned and you will have a much better selection, better service, and you’ll learn about the wines you buy. Von’s, Ralph’s, Target, BevMo, and all those other big stores can’t match the selection and service you will find here at The Bottle Shop.
You go to great lengths to set a great table and to prepare a fantastic meal for Thanksgiving - the same effort should be put into selecting the wines. I’ll be here at The Bottle Shop to assist you and to make things easy peasy. Stop by Thursday night and Friday night and taste four fabulous wines that will show your guests that you put time and effort into the wine selection. I’ll also be here Sunday afternoon with more wines to taste and purchase.
This Thursday and Friday we will be tasting these four wines - a delightful sparkling wine from France, a stunning white wine from Chateauneuf-du-Pape, an outta this world Beaujolais, and an amazing Pinot Noir that I’ve been trying to bring into the shop for several years and it’s finally here!
Prosper Maufoux Cremant De Bourgogne NV
Winemaker Notes: Light gold in color with aromas of green apple, pear, citrus, honeysuckle and hay. Yellow apple, pear, lemon, and a swirl of honey glide over fine, consistent bubbles and fresh acidity. Ginger, citrus zest and hint of brioche linger between each fizzy sip.
Brunier “Clos Roquete”, Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2021
Kermit Lynch notes: "...equal parts Clairette, Roussanne, and Grenache Blanc—turned out as elegant as ever: ripe with juicy stone fruit, a lovely bitterness, and more delicate aromas like jasmine and anise. Enjoy this white with anything from a goat cheese tart to a platter of prosciutto, or with a favorite white fish entrée..."

Domaine Dupeuble Beaujolais 2022
This wine blew me away at Kermit Lynch's 50th Anniversary Tasting in San Francisco last week. Gorgeous floral notes, spice, and vivacious fruit. Refined and polished. The vines are 50-100 years old. What about the Beaujolais Nouveau you see at the grocery stores right before Thanksgiving? Fuhgeddaboudit!!! This is the Beaujolais you must have on your Thanksgiving table.

Lingua Franca “Avni” Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 2021
"Elegant yet dynamic, this multilayered red reveals detailed cherry and red plum flavors that are laced with savory forest floor and mineral flavors, which build intensity toward polished tannins." 94 Points Wine Spectator
